Spirit runs high during Field Day, when our 8th graders lead their team through a series of games on the lawn at James Island County Park. Winners earn points for their team, either Red or Blue. All CDS students are assigned a team when they enroll, and team loyalty runs strong. If a student has a sibling, a parent or a grandparent who attended CDS, they’ll all be on the same team. The winning Field Day Team will be announced during a Monday Assembly, and the winning team for the year will be announced during Commencement. More than the competition, the day provides a chance for younger and older students to spend time having fun together, as you can see from the photos below.
